Final Considerations When Revising Your Report

As you reread and revise your report, ensure that it meets the following criteria:

  • The report is tailored to the needs and expectations of its audience.
  • The structure of the report aligns with its purpose and function.

  • The format follows any organizational or institutional guidelines.

  • All information is accurate, complete, and properly cited.

  • The content is easy to read and well-organized.

  • Technical terms are clearly defined for the intended audience.

  • Figures, tables, and visuals effectively support the written content.

  • Visual elements are clearly labelled and easy to interpret.

  • Graphics can be understood on their own, without requiring explanation from the main text.

  • Fonts, layout, and design choices enhance readability.

  • Conclusions and results are clear, concise, and logically presented.

  • Recommendations are reasonable, actionable, and supported by evidence.

Taking the time to carefully review your report using these criteria will ensure it is polished, professional, and impactful.
