Welcome to the University of Regina’s Conservatory of Performing Arts, we are glad you are part of our teaching roster this year! This handbook presents an overview of general teaching information.
If you have any questions or concerns, your first point of contact is Student and Instructor Services Non-Credit (SISNC), located on the main floor in CB118, SISNC is available by phone (306-585-5748) and email (sis.noncredit@uregina.ca).
Conservatory Responsibilities
- Provide safe, well maintained studios for instructors and students
- Ensure instructors are paid for registered students
- Host student recital series and disburse more than $10,000 in scholarships and bursaries annually
- Host masterclasses and partner with local organizations to expand programming and performance opportunities for students
- Provide performance hall for studio recitals at no extra cost to instructors
Instructor Responsibilities
- All instructors are asked to aim for excellence in their teaching and to seek ongoing improvement in students’ skill development.
- Submit a copy of your teaching schedule with student’s names and time slots to SISNC no later than October 15
- Provide an updated copy of your teaching schedule with student’s names and time slots included no later than January 15
- Respond to requests for information in a timely manner
- Communicate clearly and quickly with students seeking lessons

AJ is the CPA specialist and can assist you with questions regarding: registration, schedules, studio issues, building concerns, scholarships, bursaries, etc. Mackenzie is in the SISNC office Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings, and Saturdays – Mackenzie is your contact for recital programs and private lesson placements. |
