The University of Saskatchewan (USask) is a proud partner in the SaskOER Network. This network offers the USask community access to Pressbooks™, an online book publishing platform that is used by authors, publishers, and educational institutions around the world.
What is Pressbooks?
You can use Pressbooks to publish e-textbooks, scholarly monographs, fiction and non-fiction books, white papers, lab manuals, handbooks, and much more. You can use Pressbooks to make new materials from scratch, or you can use it to adopt, adapt, and remix open educational resources (OER) shared by others.
When finished, work can be shared with readers in multiple formats, including:
- Web-based HTML
- Print-ready PDF
- Digital PDF
- EPUB (compatible with a variety of e-reader devices)
Educators, students, and staff at USask have been publishing books on the Pressbooks platform since 2015. See some examples of what we have created by browsing our USask Catalogue.
