Open Educational Resource Grant
Saskatchewan Polytechnic provides grants for the purpose of the adoption, adaptation or development of Open Educational Resources (OERs), with the aim of replacing existing textbooks or other types of educational resources that can be prohibitively expensive. Ideally, the completed OERs will be useable not just at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, but other post-secondary institutions.
Open Education at Sask Polytechnic
Open Education is recognized by the organizational Technology Enhanced Learning Plan as a key strategy to save students money and to increase engagment.
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is a member of the SaskOER consortium, which also includes the University of Regina, the University of Saskatchewan and First Nations University, with funding provided by the Saskatchewan Provincial Government.
